微软字体安装问题

xubuntu 7.10, 根据wiki中的 Ubuntu 7.10快速设置指南(http://wiki.ubuntu.org.cn/Qref/Gutsy)安装微软免费字体（wq字体前段时间安装过了）
* 微软免费字体(可选，需要访问国际网)
执行如下命令：
sudo apt-get install msttcorefonts
下载安装，可在字体设置你怎么找不到这个msttcorefonts这个字体？这是我安装后最后提示的代码，感觉有点怪怪的，不知道有没有安装成功，请大家帮我看一下，谢谢！

不存在msttcorefonts这个字体啊，这只是这个字体包的名字，具体字体是Arial、Times New Roman等等

谢谢ls，win是用过，可从来没弄过字体，在win里我只用过宋体和楷体，呵呵（见笑了）
你上面说提到到的字体都可以找得到，是不是说明微软字体已经安装上了？
