我的内核终于编译成功了，呵呵！

编译内核怎么用了4个小时？
现在的linux真是好用多了。10几年前用slackware，除了内核、gcc和一些必要工具，其它都是自己编译的。

你们更换新的内核后,没出现不能加载FAT32分区的事吗,,我用的是当前最新内核,,不知道为什么就是加载不了FAT32分区,,用回旧的内核就可以,,听说新的内核做出来对硬件管理的更改,但在网上又找不到相应的资料,,请大侠们讲解一下,,谢谢,,

If you want to display filenames with native language characters
from the Microsoft FAT file system family or from JOLIET CD-ROMs
correctly on the screen, you need to include the appropriate
input/output character sets. Say Y here for the Latin 1 character
set, which covers most West European languages such as Albanian,
Catalan, Danish, Dutch, English, Faeroese, Finnish, French, German,
Galician, Irish, Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish,
and Swedish. It is also the default for the US. If unsure, say Y.

VFAT (Windows-95) fs support (VFAT_FS)

This option provides support for normal Windows file systems with
long filenames. That includes non-compressed FAT-based file systems
used by Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, and the Unix
programs from the mtools package.

The VFAT support enlarges your kernel by about 10 KB and it only
works if you said Y to the "DOS FAT fs support" above. Please read
the file <file:Documentation/filesystems/vfat.txt> for details. If
unsure, say Y.

To compile this as a module, choose M here: the module will be called
vfat.

编译了4个小时让人不敢相信 P4 3.0E 我的P4 1.8A 512M 也只用了50多分钟就编译好了

升技 NF7 板， 闪龙 2400+ 超到2800+ ， ATI 9550 刷成R9600XT ， 768M 内存

我是闪龙2200+,1.6G的。后来坏掉了。去淘宝买了个512K二级缓存的巴顿。140元。速度还不错。现在闪龙70就可以了。对了，我是462接口的。你呢？

看看人家的专家分。6万多了。人家火星专家。

为了reiser4编译了一下内核
去掉了官方配置里的好多无用选项，用了gentoo推荐的安全cflags，发现...速度无本质性变化
当然体积是小了很多，也仅此而已了
感觉除非是需要新功能，或者用的发行版就是需要编译的，不然编译内核必要不是很大
