ati官方驱动（非开源）的安装配置（08/01/19），compiz用户不推荐更新

谢谢lz，根据方法二试了两次安装驱动成功，信息如下

后来安装了Xsever-xgl 和beryl , 用桌面效果还是说合成扩展不可用，启动beryl不能选beryl窗口管理器。
根据一个贴子里的弄了一个xgl会话启动可以用桌面效果并有晃动效果，也能选beryl窗口管理器但是什么效果也没有，SCIM也没有了。

没想到 ATI HD2300 也装的上驱动
我到国外的有关网站上查了，因为 X.org 把版本号由7.2变成了1.3,
所以安装 ATI 驱动会报错：

代码： 全选

[atiddxSetup] X version mismatch - detected X.org 1.3.0.0, required X.org 7.1.0.0

找到了一个编译好的批处理文件http://kanotix.com/files/install-fglrx-debian.sh
安装Ubuntu 7.10 Alternate以后，进入Recovery模式，wget后输入sh install-fglrx-debian.sh
就可以了。它会自动下载方法二的驱动并配置。
好像能用。
64位的我卸载了，软件实在太少。

太新了吧？你可以试试，但是不保证。

用LINUX，建议尽量不要用ATI的显卡，驱动太烂了，NV的显卡驱动安装根本没有这么多的问题，而且NV的显卡驱动安装已经做到与LINUX发行版无关了。

搞定了。。。。那个修改配置文件很重要，搞了两次才搞好。。。。X200M的。
就是不知道能不能支持GPU的电源管理
