编译安装pidgin后的烦恼

ubuntu9.04系统，编译安装pidgin 2.6.5版，历辛苦，终于编译安装成功了。viewtopic.php?f=56&t=252150 昨夜正在高兴之时，唉，今早偏又愁云密布。
一、pidgin的视频语音按钮仍是灰色的。
二、点击打开视频软件茄子大头贴，提示：
缺少所需的一个或多个 gstreamer 元素：oggmux, theoraenc, vorbisenc.
三、firefox自动退出，终端中启动得到的错误提示是：

唉，现在可真有些进退两难了。我知道这是依赖关系造成的。编译了gstreamer ，但并没有编译安装了它的所有组件。并且现在的这个提示：

缺少所需的一个或多个 gstreamer 元素：oggmux, theoraenc, vorbisenc.

暂时还不知道要找些什么包来安装。

如果这个问题解决了，又不知还会有多少其它的问题。firefox的问题就更麻烦了，难道要编译安装最新版的firefox才能解决？
不想升级系统，麻烦。
