PS:GNU真的是在做大工程而不是黑客和Geek那么简单啊....虽然我喜欢传统的unix文化多些,,呵呵

     Normally when creating an archive, `tar' strips an initial `/'

呃....man里面的用法还不够么....而且我这(debian sid)tar的info和man一样...

info 有一个很恶心的功能，我至今不知道怎么关闭它。
那就是，当一个文档的 info 文档根本不存在时，它不提示你不存在，而是直接载入它的 man。

所以，你的问题其实是根本没有 apt-get install tar-doc （这个缺省是不安装的）

但是，你以为tar的info本来是你看到的那个样子。

debian 的 info 虽然有删节，但绝对不会比 man 还少或者跟 man 一样。

info的本意是替代man，所以设计上完全兼容man的数据

当不存在info数据时，直接去找man的数据

而且，info的控制脚本也没有，内置逻辑
