[问题]How to regesiter RealPlayer with the system?

Hi, I am just a newbie to Ubuntu, and encounters a problem on installing RealPlayer.
After downloading RealPlayer.bin from adobe, I followed the instructions, but it seems as if RealPlayer has not been registered to the system. I mean, that every time I double click a RM file, Tottem, instead of RealPlayer is invoked. What's more? After clicking "ALT+F2", I cannot see RealPlayer listed there.
Can anybody give me a hand?
