请问：我在vmware下安装Ubuntu怎么没有root的密码？

我以为会提示我输入root密码的，但是直到建立了普通用户时我才发现我错了。
这样的话vmware tools装不上啊
刚收到Ubuntu的盘，首次安装，还请多多给点意见。

刚才随便按了一个键，w,然后就可以继续了。装完后startx却提示-su:startx:commmand not found 继续求助！

还时不行啊。提示：the answer "/usr/bin" is invalid.it must be the complete name of a binary file.
