开机引导到mounting root file systems 就无法显示ok
然后一直停在那里,无法开机

然后用 live cd 启动,选择从硬盘启动就能够正常启动,这中情况经常碰到,不知道是我机子的问题,还是bug

I did a search around the forums for "mounting root file system" and found an answer. Possibly, three.

First, when the "mounting root file system" error pops up, wait a few minutes until the shell loads. You'll know it loaded when the "hdb:ide_intr: huh? expected NULL handler on exit" error appears. Now, type evms_activate. Press CTRL-D. Wait about three minutes and see if things start getting okay'd. If not, type mount-0 remount, rw // sbin / evms_activate . Press ctrl-D. Wait a few minutes. This is what worked for me. If it doesn't for you, unplug all USB devices and restart the CD. Should work with no problems. Not sure.

Supposedly, the problem is that the USB devices are recognized in the wrong order causing it to stall. (I know someone can give a better answer. Please.)

Post to say how it goes. Good luck.

I experienced this problem on an IBM Thinkpad T42 after an upgrade from 5.10. I was able to get booted up by choosing the kernel from 5.10 (2.6.12something). That kernel works fine no matter what. I tried the 6.06 kernel with the irqpoll option and that did not help me at all. I then pulled my laptop out of the docking station that it was in the whole time and the problem is gone. Somebody had suggested problems with USB and my docking station has a number of USB devices plugged in so that may be it. I'll try adding some USB devices out of the docking station and try the docking station with no extra devices to see if I can find a problem device or combination, but this definitely looks like a kernel problem.

Thanks,
