apt-get install flex bison失败

我想在Ubuntu（7.10）上安装flex/bison,使用命令
sudo apt-get install flex bison
显示结果为：
Package bison is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package bison has no installation candidate
Ubuntu装在virtrualbox中，vbox在xp系统上。vbox用nat与本地局域网相连，可以从Ubuntu ping xp，但是不能从xp ping Ubuntu。Ubuntu可以用ff上网。
我从新得立工具包下载时要求插入Ubuntu的cd，似乎apt-get无法联网。
请问这是咋回事？
