印度的loco team有一个梵语团队，但似乎发展不起来（缺人啊，你有能力可以去参与）。毕竟梵语是古代语言，就像咱的文言文一样，现在印度以梵语作为第二语言的只有20万人（这个数字是在一本书上看到的）。xiooli 写了：有没有梵文版的？

Co-wrote a [WWW] Sanskrit (SA) language locale with Christian Perrier (bubulle), which awaits inclusion in the Debian package : belocs-locales-data and also in package: locales (version: 2.3.5-6).

Translates for the Sanskrit localisation of packages in Ubuntu. Plans to increase volunteer translators for Sanskrit, a classical Indian language. Main impediments are its classical roots, lack of regular usage. Low, almost zero commercial value has also contributed to the low interest and is considered a dead language by many people.

Greetings and Welcome to the Sanskrit (SA) translation Launchpad page.
We seek the active participation and cooperation of people interested in translating Ubuntu packages into Sanskrit language with this platform for translators to use.
Until the last quarter of 2005, this centuries old language, Sanskrit, had no locale. Christian Perrier helped me co-write the SA locale which still awaits inclusion in the Debian packages.
The low number of speakers (~6000) is a worrying fact so we need to put together a team of translators and to achieve this, need your help. So if you know Sanskrit or know people who are fluent and want to translate do help preserve this centuries old language by joining us.
Feel free to provide your suggestions and inputs too
Join and empower others by sharing knowledge and help build a better world with Ubuntu.
Translation hints: Please do not translate 'word for word' from English, rather grasp the meaning of the sentence and then put it down in the native language (Sanskrit). This is important since the vocabulary is new and there are no standardized formats to fall back on.

呵呵，似乎佛教徒也不必用梵文吧，说说而已。（梵语语法太复杂，要精通谈何容易，不过文字倒是挺漂亮的啊）
