好久没装驱动了（应为以前老是出现mesa问题）
今天抱着试试看的想法，有用第二种方法试了一下。
重启输入fglrxinfo竟然出现ati字样了。
可是再重启一下后出现
glxinfo | grep direct
Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":1.0".
direct rendering: No

说来也怪，今天又同时装了XGL。
在XGL下：
glxinfo | grep direct

我的显卡是ATI x300se. Asus的GPU

sudo gedit /etc/X11/Xorg.0.log

can not find file Xorg.0.1og!!!

在/var/log

用了楼主的办法终于把驱动安起了，感谢！！！！！！！！！！！！1

我的是X300的显卡，用的是ubuntu 7.04，内核是最新的 Linux Edgy 2.6.20-14-generic。按照方法一去安装后结果：

试了很多次，都不行。我现在不知道如何才能安装好了，以前用6.10的时候很顺利的就可以装好驱动的。求助！

别的我不说，你先仔细看看你的配置文件再说，这么明显的错误。

另外，aiglx off那一段就不要加了，我在首贴已经修改。
7.04加了以后可能会进不去x。

请问楼主我的配置是笔记本 9700SE，也就是9500.

8.35.5 驱动装上了，但安装Breyl 貌似有问题，尝试了N次，不是Breyl无法启动，就是黑屏。
