Dapper中Totem有图像无声音。

由于dapper的源中没有w32codecs，将原来breezy的源中的w32codecs备份出来，在dapper中安装后，再安装tote－xine，但是在播放rmvb的时候只有图像没有声音（用原来的totem－gstream不能播放，其他的媒体格式还没有试）。我同时还安装了源中的mplayer，播放相同的文件就没有问题。

在我这里totem-gstream也是不能播放。。。

totem-gstreamer不能播放的问题应该是没有安装gstreamer的一些插件和解码器，具体可以查看https://wiki.ubuntu.com/RestrictedFormats。
但是还是没法播放rmvb，而且播放xvid和wmv也有些问题。好像gstreamer没有real的插件，也没法使用w32codecs，只有用realplayer，或者用mplayer、xine来配合w32codecs。totem-xine的问题还是没有答案，还是暂时用mplayer算了。

我的也是在安装完了xgl之后，totem播放影片一顿一顿的，我的显卡是gforce3 ti 200，在google上查找解决办法，以下引用自linuxdsir

what app you use to play movies? If totem-xine, then try this:

vi ~/.gnome2/totem_config

find these lines:

and change to:

video.driver:OpenGL

which means it will use OpenGL engine to render the graphic. See if it helps. For your kb, I don't know much of that but maybe you can try“

我试过之后并不管用，还是很卡，而且声音已没有了，不知道问题在哪里？望高手们帮助。

可能是由于XV造成的,你打开多媒体选择器,视频部分好象是选择 X Window(no xv ) 吧,具体我记不太住了!再试试?

还没搞好啊，用totem－gstream吧，把插件安装好就有图象了。
