scrot は CLI からスクリーンショットを撮ることができるが故に、別の機会に於いて有用かもしれないので、削除せずに保持しておくことにしました。ありがとうございました。

mint17.2の"mate-screenshot" と、後添加した"gnome-screenshot"
その功能は完全相同であることがわかった。したがって"gnome-screenshot"を削除する。
