怎么才能得知那个效果?
从文字上来看,貌似XP下任务栏里的窗口有闪烁变黄之类
但是怎么体验这个效果?

开两个 hexchat/xchat，一个跟另一个私聊。
接受信息者设置为 Preferences - Chatting - Alerts - Blink task bar on <三类全选>

或尝试 wmctrl 发送 demands_attention
例 对象为 thunar 窗口，标题为 "Downloads - File Manager"

代码： 全选

wmctrl -r manager -b add,demands_attention

Windows下好像有些网页聊天也有这个类似功能
不过Linux下Firefox不行?

也许记错了,可能是IE的网页聊天的任务栏可以闪烁
